Free bike with every 250 cappuccinos
London’s in something of a cycle-cafe boom at the moment. Well, a gentle thud, anyway.
As well as specifically cycle-oriented places such as Look Mum No Hands and Rapha CC, one regular cafe on Tavistock Place – Lumen - has just started offering a 15% discount to cyclists. The offer runs to end of July.
Cappuccinos are two quid, or one seventy after the discount, so if you have a couple of hundred, you’ll have saved enough for a new bike.
Catherine, who runs the place, is a keen cyclist (as is her chef). There’s plenty of railings parking outside, and their food is mostly organic and locally sourced where possible.
We think this is an excellent initiative, and I’ll be writing to Wetherspoons shortly to encourage them to do the same.
